Rahul Gandhi London Speech: Uproar continues in Parliament over Rahul Gandhi’s speech in London. On Friday, once again there was an uproar in both the Houses as soon as they started and finally the proceedings were adjourned till Monday. Both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were present in the Lok Sabha during this period. Shouting slogans of Rahul Gandhi apologise, many BJP MPs came to the Well and created ruckus. Appeals from the speakers of both the Houses to maintain peace also proved futile. After this, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Monday.
Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that he has met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and sought time to present his case. However, today no notice was received from his side. In order to speak on an issue in Parliament, a member has to give notice to the speaker. Only after getting approval on this, he can present his side in the concerned house. Meanwhile, Union Minister Smriti Irani once again attacked Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi will have to apologize for his speech.
Smriti Irani said in a TV program that if Rahul Gandhi has to fight, then do it in the country. What we have said against him is the sentiment of the country. Rahul can also understand this by looking at the election results. Earlier, BJP President JP Nadda also demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi. However, the Congress has been adamant that the question of Rahul Gandhi’s apology does not arise. After leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, now Shashi Tharoor has also defended Rahul. He said that Rahul Gandhi did not do anything wrong. Therefore the question of apology does not arise.
