The end of the week was very auspicious for the stock market. On Friday once again the market closed on the green mark. The stocks of Sensex and Nifty were showing a boom since this morning. The Sensex saw a rise for the second consecutive day today. By the time the market closed, the Sensex had climbed 355 points. Whereas the Nifty closed at 17,100. In today’s trade, Reliance Infra gained 6%, HCL Tech gained 4%. Talking about today’s top gainer, Jubilant Farmova was the top gainer and gained 12.54%. Apart from this, JK Paper’s share closed at 9.94%, JBM Auto’s share at 9.61%, Kalyan Jewelers’ share at 9.58% and HLE Glasscoat’s share at 8.41%.
Friday mainly saw gains in IT stocks, financial and metal stocks. HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, UPL, UltraTech Cement and Nestle India were the top gainers on the Nifty, while Eicher Motors, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, ITC and Asian Paints were the biggest losers. Barring Auto, Pharma and FMCG, all sectoral indices closed with gains.

Earlier on Friday, the last trading day of the week, the stock market started with a bang. The Indian stock market started flying as soon as it opened on the back of big buying in the American market, boom in the European and Asian markets. Due to this, the BSE Sensex jumped 443.27 points to open at 58,078.11 points, while the Nifty climbed 147.80 points to reach 17,133.40 points.
