Shocking case in UP: Superintendent of Police threatened to kill, demanded extortion of Rs 10 lakh
UP News: A shocking case has come to light in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. Under this, a young man called the Superintendent of Police and asked for extortion of Rs 10 lakh and threatened to kill the entire family if he did not pay. Police sources said on Sunday that a miscreant named Rohit Saxena made a call on the landline at Hapur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma’s house on February 28, which was picked up by a policeman.
Saxena demanded an extortion of Rs 10 lakh for the Superintendent of Police using casteist words and threatened to kill his family if he did not pay. He told that a case has been registered in this matter and the accused is being searched.
To demand extortion, the phone was also put on the government mobile
Sources said that Saxena had also demanded extortion by calling the official mobile number of the Superintendent of Police. Thereafter, he also posted on Facebook the purported photograph of the Superintendent of Police along with a lady sub-inspector. According to the police, Rohit Saxena is a man of eccentric and criminal mindset. During his posting in Bareilly, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma arrested Saxena in some case and sent him to jail. Kotwali in-charge Sanjay Pandey said that a case has been registered and a team has been set up. Soon the accused will be arrested.
