Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday said that India is in mission mode to become carbon neutral by 2070. He said that the country needs good roads but at the same time protection of ecology is also necessary. Addressing the ‘Civil 20 India’ (C-20) conference held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Gadkari said that we are rapidly moving from fossil fuel to green fuel. The C-20 is one of the official groups of the G-20, which provides a platform for civil society around the world to speak to the leaders of the G-20.
‘We are moving towards green hydrogen’

Gadkari said that ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ embodies a powerful message of India’s G20 chairmanship.
Gadkari’s emphasis on electric vehicles
Gadkari said that value based education and value based family system is the biggest strength of India. He said that the biggest challenge for the government is to reach the last person and make his life meaningful. Let us tell you that Gadkari has been emphasizing on electric vehicles and he has also claimed that by 2030 there will be 20 million electric vehicles in India. The Government of India is also moving fast towards bio fuel and had kept blending of 20 per cent ethanol by 2030 which was later changed to 2025.
