Thunderstorms will rain in entire North India including Delhi, Meteorological Department predicts

IMD Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds over several states in Northeast India, including the national capital Delhi, till April 5. The weather forecasting agency has predicted fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds over Northeast India during April 2-5. The department has said that on April 2, there is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in some states. The IMD said light to moderate rain would occur over Delhi and adjoining areas such as Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on most days of the week between March 30 and April 5.

Delhi’s climate

The IMD said that the minimum temperature in Delhi on Sunday would be around 15 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature could reach up to 31 degree Celsius. The Met department has predicted a generally cloudy sky and light rain in the national capital. After normal weather during the day, light to moderate rain may occur in the evening.

Weather in Mumbai

The minimum temperature in Mumbai on Sunday will be around 25 degree Celsius, while the maximum temperature can reach up to 29 degree Celsius. The IMD has predicted clear skies in Mumbai till April 4. Normal to fluctuating weather conditions will continue in the state.

Weather in South India

Meanwhile, in South India, light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning or gusty wind very likely at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala during next 4-5 days. The IMD said that no significant change in weather would be observed over East, Central and West India during the next five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the northeastern part including Delhi, UP-Bihar, Jharkhand till April 5 and after that the summer season may start. This unseasonal rain has caused a lot of damage to the crops, due to which there is despair on the faces of the farmers.
