New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the new Parliament House on 28 May. Even before the inauguration, the opposition parties have opened a front against the government. Most of the opposition parties protesting against the inauguration by Modi have announced a boycott of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the statement of AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has come to the fore. He has put forth his own stand regarding the inauguration of the new Parliament House. Owaisi said that the inauguration of the new parliament building should neither be done by the President nor by PM Modi. The new Parliament House should be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
If Modi will inaugurate, I will not attend the ceremony – Owaisi
Asaduddin Owaisi said that the custodian of Parliament is Speaker Om Birla, so the inauguration should be done by him only. Owaisi accused the central government of violating constitutional norms. He clearly said that if Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament House, he will not participate in the ceremony.
