A speeding truck rammed into an army vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Avantipora yesterday. Two army soldiers were injured in this accident. Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured when they were hit by a speeding truck at Awantipora in Pulwama district on Wednesday, officials said. It may be mentioned that earlier on May 15, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed after being hit by a school bus in Lalpur Pandeypur police station area of Varanasi Police Commissionerate in UP.
CRPF jawan run over by battalion bus
Police had told that Inspector-in-charge (SHO) of Lalpur Pandeypur police station Pankaj Kumar told that Jawan Vanshraj Singh (45) was posted at 95 Battalion CRPF camp located in Paharia Mandi of Pandeypur police station area of Varanasi. Kumar said that on Monday morning (May 15), Singh was posted as a guard at the gate. Meanwhile, the battalion’s school bus carrying the children of the campus went out of control and rammed into a pole, trampling Vanshraj Singh posted at the gate.
CRPF camp damaged by strong wind
On the other hand, on Friday, 10 jawans were injured when strong winds hit the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Jagdalpur district of Chhattisgarh. On this incident, CRPF Deputy Commandant Vishal Vaibhav had said, “The roofs of several barracks in CRPF battalion camp were damaged due to strong wind in Jagdalpur. 10 jawans have been injured and are undergoing treatment.” The official further said that a detailed assessment of the damage caused in the incident is yet to be done.
