Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday alleged that transactions worth Rs 2,000 crore have taken place to “buy” the Shiv Sena’s name and symbol. Raut claimed in a tweet that Rs 2,000 crore was a preliminary figure and it was 100 per cent true. The Rajya Sabha member said that there is a lot of evidence behind his claim, which he will reveal soon. He said that a builder close to the ruling party told him this.
The Rajya Sabha member said, “So far Rs 2,000 crore has been transacted in that case. This is my initial estimate. The judgment was bought.”
He also told reporters that the way the Election Commission of India recognized the faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the real Shiv Sena was not justice but business.
Raut said in his allegations, “The decision of the Election Commission is a deal. I have reliable information that a deal of Rs 2000 crore has been done to get Shiv Sena’s name and its election symbol. This is a preliminary figure and 100 percent true.” ”
On the other hand, the opposition claimed that the Election Commission has been completely taken over by the Modi government. According to Uddhav Thackeray, opposition parties like Congress, RJD believe that the Election Commission has completely abandoned its independence in the Modi era.
