Twitter Down: Twitter users on Wednesday night faced a variety of issues on the microblogging site, including difficulty in tweeting, sending direct messages or following new accounts on the platform. Some users who tried to post new Tweets received a pop-up saying that you have exceeded the daily limit for sending Tweets. While another Twitter user received a pop-up saying, “We’re sorry, we weren’t able to send your tweet.”
Twitter users who were trying to follow other accounts on the microblogging site got a message saying, limit reached. You are unable to follow more people at the moment. Twitter users were also unable to send direct messages. Some users revealed that they could only share tweets using Twitter’s tweet scheduling function. Outage tracker DownDetector revealed that as of 5 a.m. Thursday, more than 9,000 Twitter issued reports. Reports started showing a drop within half an hour as some users were able to tweet again. Let me tell you, there is a problem using TweetDeck at the moment. On Twitter, users are commenting and writing that this problem is coming only for BlueTick users.
Twitter has faced a series of technical glitches since Elon Musk took over as the platform’s CEO and plans to lay off more than half of its employees in 2022. Users have previously reported issues regarding the app’s two-factor authentication tool, seeing replies listed above a tweet, and old tweets appearing repeatedly in their feed or mentions.
