Maryam Nawaz’s taunt on Imran Khan
Pakistan Politics: Maryam Nawaz, the vice-president of the ruling Pakistan political party PML-N, on Thursday lashed out at the country’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Maryam Nawaz sarcastically asked Imran Khan the question “Why does Imran think he is so ‘important’ that everyone else wants to kill him?” In fact, according to reports, Imran Khan was being apprehensive for the last several days that TTP wanted to kill him. Maryam Nawaz attacked former Prime Minister Imran Khan for ‘doing nothing’ during the tenure of the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He said, ‘Why do you think you are so important that everyone is plotting to kill you?’ Maryam said, ‘First, he said that he was thrown out of power under an American conspiracy but then he apologized. He accused Asif Ali Zardari of conspiring to kill and yesterday he blamed the agencies.

A video of Imran Khan has surfaced on social media. In the video, PTI chief Imran Khan allegedly claimed that the military leadership was trying to harm a “popular politician”. Earlier, he had accused Zardari of “hatching a conspiracy to get him out of the way”. After this, while giving a speech in Abbottabad, Maryam Nawaz said that her father, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif used to appear in the sitting court in a wheel chair during the hearing, he had ‘committed no crime’.
TTP said – we have no enmity with Imran
Maryam Nawaz said that I wish that Imran Khan is ill, so he gets well soon. But I want to tell you that he is not coming to the court because of his crimes and not because of his plaster. The TTP on Thursday denied Imran Khan’s claim that the people of South Waziristan were tasked to kill him. The TTP said its fight was against security forces and intelligence agencies and not against any political figure, reported news agency Dawn.
