New Delhi. Russia has again stepped up missile and drone attacks on Ukraine. The Russian military carried out a flurry of missile and drone strikes in eastern and southern Ukraine early Friday. The Ukrainian military said that Russian forces carried out heavy bombings in Ukraine’s industrial east, especially Luhansk and Donetsk provinces. At the same time, in Zaporizhzhya, there was a fierce bombardment with drones and missiles 17 times in an hour. Russia also rained bombs in Kharkiv. This shook Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya. According to private energy operator DTEK, power was cut in Kiev city, Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk regions due to fears of a missile attack. Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kiev city administration, said that “there is a great risk of a missile attack.” Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that in Kharkiv, authorities were receiving information about victims and damage. There could be disruption in power and water supply, he added.
