The stone-pelting took place on Friday evening in suburban Mahabubabad in Telangana. Railway Police is probing the matter following reports of minor damage to the glass panes of the train in stone pelting.

South Central Railway CPRO Rakesh said, “We are probing all angles in this regard. The condition of the train and the plank will be assessed by Railway Police officials after the train reaches Vizag.” Let us tell you that before the launch of Vande Bharat Express last month, unidentified people pelted stones at a coach of the train at the railway yard in Visakhapatnam, breaking a glass. Earlier, an incident of stone pelting had come to light on Vande Bharat train from New Jalpaiguri to Howrah in West Bengal. Although there was no damage to the train or any passenger in this stone pelting.
10 Vande Bharat trains running in the country
Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually flagged off the Vande Bharat train service between Secunderabad in Telangana and the port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on January 15. Till now PM has flagged off 10 Vande Bharat trains, which are running on different routes of the country.
