New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has fiercely criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during his visit to Britain. On this matter, Union Minister Anurag Thakur targeted him on Tuesday. Anurag said, ‘Rahul Gandhi should go to his camps to understand the Sangh.’ During an interview with Doordarshan, Information and Broadcasting Minister Thakur also accused Gandhi of defaming India on foreign soil.

Let us inform that in a program in London, former Congress President Gandhi alleged that barbaric attacks are taking place on Indian democratic structures. He expressed regret that the democratic countries of the world including America and Europe have failed to take cognizance of it. Regarding the RSS, he termed it as a ‘radical, fascist organization’ and said that it has changed the nature of democratic contest in the country by capturing India’s organizations.

Anurag Thakur’s statement came out regarding this. He said, ‘RSS is a voluntary organization which works in every field of national unity and integrity. RSS has made a big contribution towards the nation. I would say that Rahul Gandhi should go to RSS camps, he will learn a lot.

BJP leader Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also from the RSS. Look at his dedication, since 2001 he hasn’t taken a single day off. On the opposition’s allegation that investigative agencies are being misused against opposition leaders, the Union Minister said, “People have voted for us so that we give corruption-free governance.” Why are they scared if they haven’t committed any corruption?’

On Rahul Gandhi’s comment, Thakur said, ‘He says democracy is in danger. Elections were held in three states, where was the Congress? The truth is that Congress is in danger. The minister was referring to the poor performance of the Congress in the assembly elections in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura.
