Corona has again gained momentum in Delhi. Once again around 700 new cases of corona (699 Covid Cases in Delhi) have been reported in the national capital. The worrying thing is that four people have died due to corona infection in Delhi. A big jump of 21.15 per cent has also been recorded in the infection rate of Corona in Delhi. According to the data shared by the Health Department, with 699 fresh cases of corona, the total number of corona infected in Delhi has increased to 20,14,637. At the same time, with the death of four people, the total number of people who died of corona infection in the national capital Delhi has increased to 26,540.
In Delhi, a day earlier on Saturday, a positivity rate of 23.05 percent was seen while 535 new cases were reported. For the first time in seven months, the highest number of 733 cases of corona were registered in Delhi last Friday. Delhi had recorded an infection rate of 19.93 percent on Friday. An infection rate of 26.54 percent was observed in Delhi on Wednesday while 509 new cases were reported. In January last year, the positivity rate had reached 30 per cent. 3,305 Kovid-19 tests were done in Delhi on Saturday.
Significantly, at present, an increase in the cases of corona infection is being seen in different parts of the country. The central government has issued instructions to the states to test the preparedness in the hospitals. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has suggested states to conduct mock drills on April 10 and 11 to test the preparedness of hospitals. He has also advised the states to increase corona testing and vaccination. States have been asked to ensure better infrastructure in hospitals as well as identify hotspot areas of Corona.
It is also a matter of concern that at present the number of patients under treatment for corona in the country has increased to 32,814. During the last 24 hours in the country on Sunday, 5,357 new cases of corona were reported while 11 patients died due to infection. With this, the total number of people who died of corona in the country has increased to 5,30,965. Since the corona epidemic, so far 4,47,56,616 cases of corona have been reported in the country. So far 220.66 crore doses of anti-corona vaccine have been administered to people in the country. In view of the increasing corona cases, the states have also started demanding the vaccine.
