The Reserve Bank of India on Friday announced the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes from circulation, once again creating panic in the country. In the beginning, people felt the same way as they did on November 8, 2016, at the time of PM Modi’s announcement at 8 PM. But this was not demonetisation, rather the Reserve Bank has only asked people to return Rs 2,000 notes kept with them by September 30. People can deposit the Rs 2,000 note in their bank accounts or exchange it for other denomination notes by visiting banks and 19 regional offices of the RBI.
