Sensex gains 98.84 points at 61,872.62 points; The Nifty closed at 18,321.15 with a gain of 35.75 points.
Benchmark indices ended with gains as Sensex closed above 61,900 and Nifty above 18,300. In FMCG and realty, most sectors gained on Thursday. Energy and PSU banks closed in the red. Tata Motors, Wipro and UPL sheds; Airtel, Adani Ent and ITC jumped.
