A 27-year-old girl, who had gone to study in London from Hyderabad, was allegedly stabbed to death by her Brazilian flatmate. Two people have been arrested in the incident. The girl is from Telangana. He was found stabbed to death at a flat in Wembley, United Kingdom, on Tuesday (13 June). The girl has been identified as Kontham Tejashwi, who was pursuing higher education from London. The man was allegedly assaulted by his Brazilian flatmate at a residential property on Tuesday morning, according to the UK Metropolitan Police. Police said two people have been arrested in connection with the murder which took place at a residential property in Neil Crescent, Wembley.
The police are now waiting for the post mortem report of the girl. Tejaswini’s family members, who live in Hyderabad’s Hayathnagar area, said they had received information that her flat had been “attacked”. The father of the deceased said that it was a shared accommodation. “We came to know about the incident this morning. We don’t know when it happened. We got information that he is serious and is in the hospital.” Her father said that she had gone to London three years ago and completed her MS course there.
Befriended a 23-year-old Brazilian youth
The Metropolitan Police had previously released a photo of Brazilian citizen Keven Antonio Lourenço de Moris, asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect behind the attack. The 23-year-old man has now been arrested from Harrow near the crime scene on Neil Crescent in Wembley. Besides Tejaswini, another 28-year-old woman was also attacked and taken to a hospital after suffering knife injuries, which were later described as not life-threatening, police said. The victim’s uncle requested the government to make necessary arrangements to bring her body from UK to Hyderabad.
