New Delhi. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has made a big claim regarding Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP), which has become a headache for Pakistan for the past several months. Imran says that TTP is planning to kill him. This claim of former PM has created panic in Pakistan. Even before this, he has accused Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his other ministers of conspiring to kill him several times.
However, the banned outfit Pakistani Taliban has rejected former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s claim that members of the outfit’s South Waziristan province are planning to assassinate him. The Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) (Pakistani Taliban) has insisted that its fight is against Pakistan’s security forces and intelligence agencies and not against any politician. The TTP issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “We have received information that the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf claimed in a meeting with the party’s provincial spokespersons that TTP is planning and executing his assassination.” The responsibility of giving has been given to the people of South Waziristan.
TTP accused of plotting murder to get him out of the way
In a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokespersons, 70-year-old Khan said that a conspiracy was being hatched to eliminate him and two people from South Waziristan had been assigned the task of killing him. South Waziristan Kablai district is considered a TTP stronghold and the organization has issued a statement to refute Khan’s claim. Significantly, in November last year, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Khan was fired upon, he was also shot in the leg, during a visit aimed at building pressure for the announcement of mid-term elections. TTP has carried out several major terrorist attacks on Pakistan during the last two-three months. Dozens of Pakistanis have lost their lives in this.
