New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday said if ‘big people’ are afraid of him, it means he has now become equal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is the first statement in the wake of allegations that the Aam Aadmi Party’s government’s Feedback Unit (FBU) is collecting ‘political intelligence’. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed that the Feedback Unit (FBU), set up by the Delhi government to probe corruption, allegedly collected ‘political intelligence’. However, AAP has denied the allegation.

LG gives green signal to CBI for investigation

The CBI has recommended registration of an FIR against Sisodia in a report based on its preliminary investigation. At the same time, LG VK Saxena has given the green signal to the CBI to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, Sisodia said in a tweet, ‘BJP has made new allegations against me that since 2015 I am engaged in their espionage. If such big people, whose existence is based on hatching conspiracies against opposition leaders with the help of CBI, ED and Pegasus, are scared of me, then it seems that I have also become equal to Modi.

AAP claims – the allegations are completely wrong

AAP has claimed that BJP’s allegation of ‘political espionage’ is ‘completely false’. The Arvind Kejriwal government has also termed the case as ‘politically motivated’. The BJP has taken an aggressive stand on this issue. The party demonstrated near the Delhi Secretariat on Thursday and the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia demanded his removal from office. Delhi BJP’s working president Virendra Sachdeva said, “Journalists, businessmen and senior officials were not left untouched by the feedback unit.”

‘…then Kejriwal and Sisodia will be in jail’
Sachdeva said, “According to the way the AAP government is functioning, both Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia will be behind bars.” Describing it as a ‘very serious’ matter, Sachdeva said the BJP will continue the struggle till Kejriwal and Sisodia go to jail. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said that after the excise ‘scam’, the FBU ‘espionage’ case has again put Sisodia under the scanner.
