Where a four-gallon petrol cask of Burma Shell was brought on a bullock cart and petrol was filled in that small plane. The plane landed at Mumbai’s Juhu airport at 1.50 pm. Know how Air India became

After this, in 1930, Tata got a proposal to start an airmail service, which led to the beginning of Tata Aviation Service in 1932 under the leadership of JRD. At a time when European companies had a monopoly in the aviation sector, JRD started the Tata Aviation Service and registered India’s name in golden letters in the sky. Tata Aviation Services was later renamed Tata Airlines and then Air India.
