The Meteorological Department (IMD alert) has predicted that the cold may increase due to rain and snowfall in the mountains for the next three days. IMD has issued warnings for this in many hilly areas including Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh. It may rain in West Bengal and Sikkim. While the weather may remain normal in the plains of Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Haryana.

The IMD said in its bulletin that the minimum temperature could remain up to 5 degrees Celsius in many plains of Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Saurashtra, Kutch and Delhi. At the same time, the minimum temperature is expected to be up to 3 degrees in Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka coastal areas, West Madhya Pradesh and West Maharashtra.

There is a possibility of heavy rains with thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. At the same time, there may be snowfall in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

IMD has predicted dense fog in the entire western Himalayan regions including West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya from today. If predictions are to be believed then this condition will remain like this for two days.
