Three people died in accidents caused by falling trees at various places in Uttarakhand

Haridwar/Uttarkashi: Due to bad weather in Uttarakhand on Tuesday evening, three people were killed and 6 people were injured due to falling of trees at various places. There was a Peepal tree about 200 years old in the Ansari Market located at Kathara Bazar in Jwalapur, Haridwar. When it started raining late on Tuesday evening, some street vendors stood under it. The tree suddenly fell at 9.30 pm. Irfan, Sameer and Harsh were taken out in a two-hour rescue. Irfan is serious, he has been referred to the Higher Center. At the same time, 10-year-old Munir, who was missing from the spot, was found buried under the debris at around quarter to one in the night. He was declared brought dead at the hospital. In Haridwar itself, a tree fell in the Bat island located in Kotwali area. Yogesh, a resident of Sonepat, died due to its grip. On the other hand, a giant tree fell on a moving car at Manpur West on Rampur Road in Haldwani, killing the driver on the spot.

Anuj was going to eat ice cream, then the accident happened

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as High Court advocate Tanuj Semwal. Tanuj was a resident of Pauri and his daughter lives in Rudrapur. The family lives in Nainagaon, Nainital. He was going to eat ice cream, then the accident happened. When the police arrived, he had stopped breathing, while the stick of ice cream was buried in his mouth. On the other hand, two trees fell on the road near Buddha Park in Kotdwar. One person was injured in the accident. In Premnagar, a hut collapsed due to the storm, injuring one person. Rishikesh In Raiwala-Gauhar Mafi Marg, Eucalyptus tree fell and blocked it. Along with this, the power supply was interrupted due to breaking of the high tension line.

Movement closed after landslide on Yamunotri Highway
On the other hand, movement on the Yamunotri Highway in Uttarkashi was stopped after a landslide near Khaneda-Kisala. PM Kadir Ahmed of the executive body of the All Weather Road project said that machinery has been sent to the spot to open the Yamunotri Highway. Boulders and debris are still coming there due to the rain, so there is a problem in opening the road. As soon as the rain stops, the machinery will start the work of opening the highway.

26 goats died due to lightning
SDM Jitendra Kumar said that after the information about the closure of the Yamunotri Highway, all the pilgrims who had come on the yatra were stopped at safe places. 26 goats died due to lightning in the forests of Kamar village of Uttarkashi. The sheep and goat herders have informed the district administration about this. On behalf of the administration, instructions have been given to the officials of the Revenue Department and Veterinary Department to go to the spot. Uttarkashi District Disaster Management Officer Devendra Patwal said that sheep and goat herders of Bagori village were grazing their goats in Hoda Name Tok, about 10 to 12 km above Kamar village. On Tuesday evening, there was lightning due to rain in the area.

There are reports of death of 19 goats of Mahendra Singh and 2 of Hukum Singh and 5 of Narayan Singh due to lightning. On the basis of the information, the officials of Veterinary Department including Revenue have been asked to go to the spot.
